A man and woman believed to be in their teens put their newborn baby in a paper bag and threw it in the parking lot and ran away.
The baby’s umbilical cord was still attached, but fortunately, it was confirmed that there were no major health problems.

In the middle of the night, a man and a woman enter an alley in a residential area.
After a brief chat in the middle of the road, a man picks up a white paper bag.
They look around, leave their paper bags in one side of the parking lot, and then disappear.
Inside was a newborn baby girl.
He was wrapped in a blanket with the umbilical cord.
The child was left unattended for over 30 minutes following being abandoned here, and was found by a nearby resident.
A resident who heard a baby crying nearby looked inside the paper bag and called the police.

“It must have been around 12:00 (at night). I was very surprised. The fact that you took a live baby and just cut the umbilical cord and put it there (shocking)”
The baby was immediately taken to the hospital, but fortunately, it was confirmed that there were no major health problems.
[출동 구급대원]
“Visually there was no problem (health). It was wiggling a little, and there was no problem, so we got into the ambulance (moved it).”
Police are checking CCTV around the area and tracking the man and woman who abandoned the child and ran away.
Under the Criminal Code, abandoning an infant is punishable by up to two years in prison or a fine.
