The 5th typhoon Songda will pass through the distant sea south of Jeju as of today and head to Shanghai, China tomorrow.
Rain clouds that have already developed in front of the typhoon are pouring rain on Jeju Island.
Until tomorrow, it will be 300mm or more in the mountainous areas of Jeju, and around 150mm in the vicinity of Jeju Island, Jeollanam-do, and Mt. Jirisan.
Up to 80mm of rain is expected in other southern regions as well.
