The Japanese government acknowledged the truth about the sexual assault that occurred within the Japan Self-Defense Forces and apologized to the victims.
A former member of the Self-Defense Forces who eventually left the Self-Defense Forces after reporting the damage was dismissed and wept, saying it was ‘too late’.

23-year-old Rina Konoi is thirsty as she recalls the past.
In the Self-Defense Forces who entered with a dream, I experienced something I don’t want to remember.
Sexual assault by male crew members has continued for nearly a year since the fall of 2020.
As a result of the investigation, the Japanese Ministry of Defense confirmed the damage and apologized.
“Director of the Personnel Education Bureau of the Ministry of Defense of Japan “I am very sorry.”
It has never been easy to get here.
I informed the company commander of routine sexual violence, such as physical contact after being knocked down on the training ground, but that was the end of it.
Mr. Konoi eventually left the Self-Defense Forces last June and disclosed the facts of his damage under his real name.
Since then, over 100,000 people have signed up calling for a fact-finding investigation.
Amid growing criticism, the members who initially denied it also admitted to committing sexual violence.

The problem doesn’t seem to end there.
This is because, during the investigation, additional members of the Self-Defense Forces who complained of sexual violence were revealed.

The Japanese government has announced that it will take strict disciplinary action if it is found that the crime was committed according to the results of the inspection of all members.
