[국제]”Foxconn’s personnel leave one after another… iPhone shipments likely to decline further by 30%”

Apple’s largest supplier, Foxconn, is expected to drop 30% more than expected due to the departure of workers from Zhengzhou, China.

Citing sources, Taiwan’s Central News Agency said, “Foxconn’s iPhone shipments this month are expected to decline by up to 30 percent more than originally expected internally by the company.”

Bloomberg reported on the 7th that in the aftermath of the return of Foxconn Zhengzhou factory workers, Apple plans to cut its production target for the iPhone 14 Siri this year by more than 3 million units than originally planned.

The Foxconn Zhengzhou factory is known to produce 80% of the world’s shipments of the iPhone 14 series.

When Corona 19 broke out in the factory last month, workers who felt anxious escaped and returned to their hometowns.

The company recently hired 100,000 people and aimed to normalize operations at the end of this month, but these new workers also left the factory en masse after receiving 10,000 yuan per person, or about 1.86 million won, after holding a large-scale protest on the 22nd over wage issues. .
