The new Philippine president, Marcos, is the son of the late Marcos, who was overthrown in the 1986 civil revolution and died in exile in Hawaii three years later, and he inherited his father’s name.

Former President Marcos, who took office in 1965, became notorious for promulgating martial law from 1972 to 1981, arresting, torture, and killing thousands of opponents.

When his son took office, the dictator Marcos came back to power following 36 years.

At the inauguration ceremony, 92-year-old mother Imelda, who was called the queen of luxury by buying jewelry and luxury shoes during her husband’s presidency, also appeared.

At the inauguration ceremony, the new president, Marcos, said of his father, “He was a person who achieved great results in a country that has achieved nothing since independence,” and said, “Compared to his predecessors, he built more roads and achieved increased food production.”

And he said he would definitely do the same.

As President Marcos takes office, attention is focused on whether the work of recovering the astronomical amount of government property stolen by his father during his time in office will be properly implemented.

The Philippine government has so far returned 71 billion pesos, 4 trillion won in Korean money, from the Marcos family, and is currently working to get back an additional 125 billion pesos and 3 trillion won in Korean money.
