It turned out that a report was received saying that there was something wrong with the railroad track just before the SRT derailment accident that occurred near the Daejeon Yard Station on the 1st.
The derailment might have been prevented if the danger had been detected in advance. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport ordered the maintenance of the control system.

A procession of passengers with luggage continues on the track where the train should run.
Officials wearing hard hats and fire and paramedics gather around the stopped train.
At around 3:20 pm on the 1st, an SRT bound for Suseo, heading for Seoul, derailed the track near Daejeon Dockyard Station.

11 of the 380 passengers were injured in the accident, and train service was delayed for more than five hours.
However, as a result of the investigation by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, it was revealed that a report was received saying ‘there seems to be something wrong with the railroad’ just minutes before the accident.
Anomalies were detected, such as the train shaking as it passed the accident point.
At that time, following the rainy season ended and the temperature rose sharply, the possibility is raised that the rails were twisted as the rails expanded.
It is pointed out that damage from derailment accidents can be reduced if the danger is detected in advance.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said that they are investigating the fact that the controller did not decelerate or give attention to driving even though there were abnormal symptoms in the preceding train along with the exact circumstances of the accident.
In addition, it was instructed to thoroughly review the current maintenance system for any shortcomings, and to improve the control system so that the engineer can immediately decelerate if an abnormality is detected.
