Nearly 9 out of 10 small and medium-sized businesses predicted that next year’s business environment would be similar to or worse than this year.
As a result of a survey of 410 small and medium-sized businesses by the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, 61.5% of businesses answered that the business environment next year would be similar to this year, while 26.3% would deteriorate.
As for the most necessary policies for the stabilization and growth of SMEs next year, relieving the financial cost burden was the highest, followed by expansion of sales channels and export support, and regulatory improvement.
The Korea Federation of SMEs said that the complex economic crisis will continue next year, and that a plan for a soft landing of debt should be prepared as the government’s top priority policy for stabilizing and growing small and medium-sized businesses is to ease the burden of financial costs.
