A British man has won a lawsuit once morest a co-worker who made fun of him for being bald. The court ruled that ‘baldness’ was sexual harassment.

According to The Guardian and The Mirror on the 13th (local time), Tony Finn, a man who worked for the British Bun Company in West Yorkshire for 24 years, sued factory manager Jamie King.

Finn, who suffers from hair loss, claimed to be a victim of sexual harassment, saying, “In July 2019, King called me ‘bald idiot’.” King was even reported to have been unfairly fired in May of last year following beating Finn.

Finn sued King, claiming that he “felt an insult to being called bald.” As a result, the court ruled in favor of Tony.

First, Judge Jonathan Brain and the jury deliberated whether King’s “bald” remarks were simply a reference to the absence of hair or were actually meant to be insulting.

“Hair loss is much more common among men than among women,” the judge said. “Using hair loss to describe someone is a kind of discrimination.”

“It is sexual harassment to call a man with hair loss ‘bald’,” he explained.

The company’s lawyer then protested that it was absurd to view it as sexual harassment, saying, “There are many people who are bald not only men but also women.”

Regarding this, the judge said, “When people are sexually harassed by referring to the size of their breasts, it is highly likely that most of them are women.

“It is much more likely that men will accept King’s bald remarks,” he added.

Meanwhile, Finn is said to be a veteran electrician within the company, an impeccable employee. The reward he will receive will be determined at a later date.
