Prosecutors launched a search and seizure of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in connection with the ‘suspicious development of the Democratic Party’s promises’ during the 20th presidential election. It seems that the prosecution, which has rearranged the front-line investigation team through large-scale personnel personnel, is aiming an investigation blade in earnest on the ‘suspicious development of promises’.

According to the legal community on the 28th, the 2nd Public Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office (Prosecutor Lee Sang-hyeon) sent prosecutors and investigators to the leisure department located on Sejong-daero, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of the same day to secure policy materials made before the ’20th Presidential Election’.

Prosecutors are investigating the allegation that the Ministry of Recreation and Recreation submitted the draft to an expert member of the Democratic Party of Korea before the 20th presidential election when asked to “provide policy data to be used for promises.”

On the 14th of last month, the prosecution summoned and investigated former Minister of Recreation Jeong Young-ae and former Deputy Minister of Recreation, Kim Gyeong-sun. At this time, the prosecution is said to have questioned whether the Ministry of Leisure was involved in drafting a promise to send to the Democratic Party. Prosecutors seem to be checking whether they have requested data from other government ministries besides the Ministry of Recreation for election promises.

Last month, the prosecution sent an official letter to each ministry requesting an investigation to see if they had been asked to provide data on election promises to members of the National Assembly or party officials belonging to a specific political party. With the start of the compulsory investigation by the Ministry of Recreation, attention is being paid to whether the prosecution’s investigation target will be expanded to each department.
