President Yoon Seok-yeol reported his fortune of regarding 7.6 billion won.
According to the property registration information of 184 public officials, including high-ranking public officials at the minister and vice-minister level, released by the Government Official Ethics Committee (Chairman Chang-su Yang) on the 26th, President Yoon’s fortune is 7.63 billion won.
President Yoon himself had a deposit of 525.95 million won, and the rest was real estate and deposits in the name of his wife, Kim Kun-hee.
President Yoon received 314,112,000 won in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, in the name of Mrs. Kim, the Acro Vista complex building (house + shopping mall) in Seocho-gu, Seoul where she currently resides, and the deposits of President Yoon himself and Mrs. Kim. It said that it owns a total of 7.639,999 won, including 5.525,887,000 won.
President Yoon’s fortune decreased by 15.35 million won from the 7.45.34 million won reported to the National Election Commission during the last presidential election, but increased by 470.99 million won from the 7.169 billion won reported on March 6, last year, when the prosecutor general retired. The reason the property increased compared to when it was reported on March 6 of last year is that the official land price of Acro Vista in Seocho-gu and forests in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do has risen.
In the cabinet, the prime minister and 39 ministers and vice ministers reported an average of 4.58 billion won in assets.
Kim So-young, vice chairman of the Financial Services Commission, had the most wealth with 29.2 billion won. The majority of shares (216,687 shares) of unlisted shipping company A, where her immediate family is a major shareholder, amounted to 2,0923.54 million won. Vice-Chairman Kim requested a job-related review from the Stock Trust Review Committee of the Ministry of Personnel Management and is currently under review.
Minister of Science, Technology, Information and Communication Lee Jong-ho reported 16.43 billion won. It was followed by Lee In-sil, director of the Korean Intellectual Property Office, with 8.6 billion won, Prime Minister Han Deok-soo with 8.5 billion won, and Ahn Deok-geun, head of the Trade and Negotiation Division, with 6.99 billion won.
The person who reported the least amount of property was Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Cho Seung-hwan, who reported 1.89 billion won.
