The Lara State College of Physicians expressed concern about the cases of illegal practice of medicine and rejected the rise in complaints.
“In recent years, the proliferation and reporting of cases of unscrupulous people who, without being doctors, have dedicated themselves to patient care,” said Deianira Gentile, member of the board of directors of the College of Physicians of Larawho was interviewed by Elimpulso.com.
The professional indicated that these cases have occurred mostly in the field of plastic surgerysince there are people who take diplomas or courses endorsed by institutions that empower them to see patients and perform procedures.

“This represents a violation of the law of the practice of medicinewhich in its article 3 establishes that patients can only see those doctors of medical sciences, medical surgeons, comprehensive community doctors Y military doctors“, he explained.

Given this, the doctor made an alert call to the Larense population so that, before seeing a doctor, they attend the facilities of the College of Physicians to investigate and confirm if he really is a professional, in addition to knowing what specialty he has. “If he does not appear registered, he would be violating the exercise law,” he reiterated.
