Actor Parthipan throws Mike off the stage while speaking at the audio launch of ‘Iravin Nizhal’. Music director AR Rahman was also present at the audio launch. While Rahman and Parthipan were talking about the movie, the actor’s mic had a minor malfunction. When someone near the stage asked him to hand over the mic, Parthipan could not control his anger and threw the mic away.
Rahman and the others in the audience were amazed at Parthipan’s action. Parthipan then realized that what he had done was wrong and apologized. The actor said that he was under a lot of pressure and could not control himself and that is why he did so quickly. The video of the incident was seen by lakhs of people in a short time. Many criticized and favored Parthipan. Some commented below the video that AR Rahman is an example of patience and that he knows how to behave in public.
‘Iravin Nizhal’ is a film in which Parthipan and AR Rahman come together after 2 decades. In 2001, AR Rahman composed the music for the film ‘Yelelo’ directed by Parthipan. After that, Parthipan could not do another film with Rahman. Parthipan had earlier said that the years of waiting were over with ‘Iravin Nizhali’. ‘Iravin Nizhal’ is a film shot in a single shot.
