NASA’s Europa Clipper mission focuses our attention on Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons, which may harbor an ocean beneath its icy surface. This interplanetary journey does not only aim for scientific discoveries; he also wears a message (Information theory was developed to mathematically determine the rate…) of humanity for those who can discover it.

This side of a plaque mounted on NASA’s Europa Clipper probe features Ada Limón’s handwritten poem “In Praise of Mystery: A Poem for Europa.” It will be fixed with a chip in silicon (Silicon is a chemical element of the crystallogen family, with the symbol Si…) engraved with names submitted by the public.

NASA has announced that its Europa Clipper probe will carry a commemorative plaque on which will be engraved more than 2.6 million names submitted by the public. This initiative is part of the space agency’s tradition of sending inspiring messages into space, as was the disk (The word disk is used, both in geometry and in everyday life, to designate a…) d’or des Voyager probes (Voyager 1 and 2 are space probes which have carried out a harvest of observations since 1977…).

On one side of this triangular metal plaque is a handwritten poetic work by Ada Limón, poet laureate of the United States, entitled “In Praise of Mystery: A Poem for Europa”, as well as a silicon chip containing the names. The other side displays an artistic work representing the connection between Earth and Europe (Europe is a land region that can be considered a…)with recordings of the word “water” spoken in 103 languages, transformed into forms ofwhere (A wave is the propagation of a disturbance producing a reversible variation in its passage…) visual, radiant around (Around is the name that the avian nomenclature in French (updated) gives…) of a water symbol in American Sign Language.

The design of the plaque aims to illustrate the message of connection through water, essential to all life as we know it, thus highlighting our connection to this monde (The word world can refer to:) ocean that is regarding to be explored. The main objective of the Europa Clipper mission is to determine whether places under the surface (A surface generally refers to the surface layer of an object. The term a…) frozen Europe might support life. To do this, it will study the thickness of the moon’s icy crust, its interaction (An interaction is an exchange of information, affects or energy between two agents within…) With l’ocean (An ocean is often defined, in geography, as a vast body of water…) below, its composition and geology (Geology, from ancient Greek γη- (gê-, “earth”) and…).

The artwork on this side of the plaque features waveforms that are visual representations of the sound waves formed by the word “water” in 103 languages. In the center is a symbol representing the sign for water in American Sign Language.

In 2030, following a trip of 2.6 billion kilometers (The meter (symbol m, from the Greek metron, measurement) is the basic unit of length of the System…)Europa Clipper will start orbit (In celestial mechanics, an orbit is the trajectory that a body draws in space…) around Jupiter, making 49 close flybys of Europa. This exploration (Exploration is searching with the intention of discovering something unknown.) detailed information will help scientists better understand the astrobiological potential of habitable worlds.

Once assembly of Europa Clipper is completed at JPL, the probe will be shipped to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida in preparation for its launch in October.
