We continue to cooperate and exchange visits.

This meeting is the first cooperative activity since the signing of the cooperation agreement extension (2022-2027) between the two institutions in September. They plan to share major pending issues and regulatory experiences related to nuclear safety, and discuss future cooperation areas.

In addition, on December 20, they will visit the low-level radioactive waste disposal site in Gyeongju and tour related facilities.

NSSC chairman Yu Kook-hee announced that he would work more closely with the Nuclear Safety Authority of France, which has the second largest number of operating nuclear power plants in the world, to secure nuclear and radiation safety that meets the public’s eye level.
