[오피셜] Striker’s ‘hire’ successful… Seongnam Jeong Seok-hwa ↔ Anyang Sim Dong-woon

[골닷컴] Reporter Dong-Hoon Kang = Professional soccer players Seongnam FC (K1) and FC Anyang (K2), each dreaming of a drama of reversal in the second half of the year and a promotion they failed to achieve last year, were hired as strikers. Seongnam Jeong Seok-hwa (31) goes to Anyang, and Shim Dong-woon (32) from Anyang wears the Seongnam uniform.

Seongnam said through the club’s official website on the 1st, “We hired Shim Dong-woon, a striker who was active in Anyang on loan. He wore the number 30.” He said, “His ability to break through the dribble using fast speed is considered a big strength, and his accurate shooting ability stands out. As he can play a variety of attacking positions with both feet, we expect it to energize the team attack. After completing medical treatment at Bundang Best Hospital, a partner hospital, he joined the team training in earnest.”

Shim Dong-woon, who graduated from Seongnam Hansol Elementary School, recorded 43 goals and 13 assists in 291 K League appearances, and is a veteran striker celebrating the 10th anniversary of his professional debut this year. After graduating from Singal High School and Hongik University, he made his professional debut with the Jeonnam Dragons (K2) in 2012, and then joined Pohang and Sangju Sangmu (currently Gimcheon Managing Director) before joining Anyang for the 2021 season.

Manager Kim Nam-il (45) said, “I think Dong-woon Shim’s good stamina and speed will be of great help to the team.” He shared his feelings regarding doing it.

Shim Dong-woon said, “The team atmosphere is good, so I think I will be able to adapt quickly and blend well into the team. I received a lot of support from the fans.” He said, “I will work hard to achieve the team’s goal this season with good players as much as you believed in me. It will be helpful,” he said.

Following that, Anyang also said, “We recruited striker Jeong Seok-hwa, who was active in Seongnam.” “It is a proven resource that can handle various offensive positions. I look forward to working with Kim Kyung-joong (31) and Baek Seong-dong (30), who spent their youth representative days together with Gwangju Kumho High School.”

After graduating from Gwangju Kumho High School and Korea University, Jeong Seok-hwa made her professional debut at Busan I’Park (K2) in 2013. After playing in Busan all the way until 2017, he moved to Gangwon FC (K1) in 2018 and showed steady progress.

Jeong Seok-hwa, who briefly experienced the Pocheon Citizens’ Soccer Team (K4) for military service, moved to Seongnam in 2021 to play an active role. And he joined Anyang on loan this summer. His career K-League record is 10 goals and 20 assists in 218 games.

Jeong Seok-hwa said, “I am happy to join Anyang. Although I have had a long hiatus following injury, I am trying to maintain my best condition and I am in good shape. I know there are many concerns around me, but I am confident that I will not disappoint coach Lee Woo-hyung (56) who called me. “He said, “Kim Kyung-joong and Baek Seong-dong are high school classmates. We used to joke regarding whether we would ever play together in a pro, but it’s a reality in Anyang, and it’s a new feeling. I know clearly what Anyang is aiming for this season. I will do my best to get promotion,” he said.
