(Seoul = Yonhap News) Taemin of SHINee, who was currently serving in the military, was changed to a supplementary service due to symptoms of depression and panic disorder, and is now serving as a social worker to fulfill his national defense duties.
SM Entertainment, the agency, announced that Taemin was transferred to the supplementary role as of the 14th.
SM Entertainment said, “Taemin continued to receive treatment and counseling while serving in the military due to symptoms of depression and panic disorder, which he had suffered from before. I was transferred to a supplementary station,” he explained.
He added, “I will do my best so that Taemin can focus on treatment and get stable.”
Taemin enlisted as active duty in May last year and served in the military band of the Ministry of National Defense Service Support Group.
