[스포티비뉴스=최민우 기자, 이충훈 영상 기자] Ha-sung Kim’s trade rumors continue.

Kim Ha-seong has grown into a top-notch infielder in the first two years of his major league debut. Trade inquiries from teams that want to reinforce their shortstop continue.

San Diego general manager AJ Preller also officially admitted that there was a trade request for Ha-sung Kim.

Ha-seong Kim filled the void of key shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr., who was absent last season due to injuries and banned substances, but San Diego was not satisfied. In the end, they recruited Zander Bogarts, who was considered one of the Big 4 free agent shortstops in the Stove League.

It is true that Ha-seong Kim’s position has been shaken by the joining of Bogatz. Rather, it may be advantageous to move to a team that guarantees playing time as a shortstop.

The American sports media ‘The Athletic’ predicted the possibility of a trade, saying, “Kim Ha-seong is a card worthy of interest for teams where star shortstops have left, such as the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, and Minnesota Twins.”

However, the chances of a trade happening are low. President Preller said, “We want a flexible team management. I will use versatile players in various ways,” dismissing Kim Ha-sung’s trade rumors.
