After lunchtime, it is time for restaurants to prepare dinner, but multi-use containers are still coming in one following another.
Electric vehicle trucks are arriving one following another, collecting dishes from each store.
The plant can wash up to 100,000 multi-use containers per day with eco-friendly detergent.
From today, the multi-use container delivery service started in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
There are 11 types of containers, including 3 large-capacity and seasoning containers.
There is also a lunch plate, which is used when receiving bulk orders.
Multi-use containers can be used multiple times instead of disposable ones that are used once and thrown away.
About 200 places in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, have been designated as ‘zero restaurants’ that offer multi-use container delivery on a trial basis.
Starting today, if you order delivery food here, the food will be delivered in a multi-use container.
With the delivery app, you can choose a restaurant that uses a multi-use container and use it.
First, when a consumer places an order, the restaurant puts the food in a multi-use container and delivers it in a bag.
After eating, the consumer puts the multi-use container back into the bag and places it in front of the house, and scans the QR code attached to the bag to apply for collection.
Another advantage is that there is no separate deposit or additional cost while collecting the multi-use container.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government conducted a pilot project in Gangnam-gu from October last year to January last year.
We decided that the project was effective in reducing waste, so in April, we signed a business agreement with four delivery app operators and promoted the development of an ordering system.
According to Seoul statistics, the delivery order rate for multi-use containers increased by more than 30% every week, and in January, the usage rate increased nearly five times compared to the beginning of the business, reaching 67,000 cases.
Once the service that started in Gangnam-gu is on track, Seoul plans to expand the delivery of multi-use containers to Gwanak-gu next month and Seodaemun-gu and Gwangjin-gu in October.
