Those who silently watched the glory of the Blue House are the tens of thousands of Blue House trees.
Of these, six were announced for the first time to be designated as natural monuments.
However, ‘Attention’, which is said to be the oldest over 700 years old, was rejected from the judging target.

The pine tree, considered by ancestors to be the tree of scholars, is also a symbol of the Blue House.
You are over 170 years old.
If you look at the photos from the 1910s to the 1920s, you can see the bouncers next to Yongmundang, the main hall of Gyeongbokgung Palace.
Bansong, which was announced as a natural monument, appears to be one of them.

There are also three large Japanese cypress trees, which have been announced as natural monuments, and are estimated to be over 230 years old.
At least, it is a story that took root during the reign of King Jeongjo.
Our ancestors believed that the cypress tree warded off evil spirits and brought happiness.

The bark of the horse chestnut tree next to the pine tree is similar to that of a pine tree.
Eggplant was also used as a whip for horses.

However, the 743-year-old Yu-Yeong, known as the head of the Blue House, was rejected from the natural monument screening.
This is because they might not find any evidence of their age, and it was determined that the plant was planted in a small garden made by demolishing the old Blue House main building located here in 1993.

If you look at the 18th century map, the current Blue House site, which used to be the backyard of Gyeongbokgung Palace, is lush with trees.
The old trees that were announced to be designated as natural monuments this time were trees that grew along the waterway that descended down Bukaksan Mountain and led to Hyangwonjeong Pavilion in Gyeongbokgung Palace.
Even today, traces of the stream still remain near these trees.
It is expected that the number of trees to be designated as natural monuments will increase according to the results of the investigation.
