The positive evaluation of President Yoon Seok-yeol’s performance in state affairs turned downward for the first time in four weeks, recording the low 30% level.
As a result of a Realmeter survey of 2,522 adult men and women nationwide from the 26th to the 30th of last month at the request of the Media Tribune, 31.2% of the positive evaluations of President Yoon’s performance in state affairs were counted, and 66% of the negative evaluations.
Compared to the previous week, 34.6% of positive reviews and 62.2% of negative reviews last week.
By region, negative evaluations in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, the core supporters of President Yoon, rose by 8.1 percentage points compared to the previous week.
In terms of party support, the Democratic Party recorded 46.1 percent, People’s Power 35.3 percent, and the Justice Party 3.9 percent.
Bae Cheol-ho, a senior expert on Real Meter, said, “Jungkook quickly cooled down, threatening the 30% of approval ratings in response to the controversy over the president’s use of profanity with ‘subtitle manipulation’ and ‘distortion of the media’. As the issue is expected to continue, it is expected to act as a downward pressure factor in the national evaluation.”
The sampling error of this survey was ±2.0% points at the 95% confidence level.
