Pop artist Nancy Lang will appear as a challenger in a survival program with a cash prize of 400 million won to pay off a debt of 1 billion won.
According to a broadcaster on the 11th, Nancy Lang applied as a challenger to Channel A’s life-changing survival show ‘Penthouse’ (hereinfollowing ‘Penthouse’) with a prize of 400 million won.
It is said that this program had previously recruited general public applicants, and it is said that a large number of people desperately in need of money flocked to it. Nancy Lang is also sitting on a pile of debt that will not be enough to pay it off for the rest of her life. In order to challenge the top penthouse, she jumps into a bloody battle for occupancy.
If you win in Survival, you have only one chance to change your life.
‘Penthouse’ is a concept similar to the TV version of ‘Squid Game’, in which people standing on the edge of a cliff participate in a survival game to escape the hellish reality. In addition to the general contestants, it is known that many celebrity performers including Nancy Lang will appear.
Nancy Lang married Wang Jin-jin (Jeon Jun-joo) in December 2017 and filed for divorce in October of the following year. Their divorce and property division lawsuits ended in Nancy Lang’s victory in October 2012 following three years of tedious fighting.
Wang Jin-jin, who was charged with 12 counts of personal injury, special intimidation, and special assault during the divorce proceedings from Nancy Lang, was sentenced to six years in prison last month.
On several TV shows, Nancy Lang confided in her horrific marriage trauma and the followingmath of divorce that she had been sitting in debt by her ex-husband. He said, “I made that person to get loans from 1st, 2nd, and debentures, so the interest alone was 6 million won a month. Her debt has grown to 980 million won,” she said. “It’s a very difficult situation to pay off interest alone,” he said.
