[국제]A Chinese space rocket crashes into the sea… What if it fires again in October?

[앵커]

Due to the possibility of a ground crash, the wreckage of a Chinese space rocket, which had tensed not only Korea but also the entire global village, fell into the waters surrounding the Philippines.

Fortunately, there was no damage this time, but the problem is that another launch is scheduled in October.

An iridescent flash of light flashes across the night sky as it hangs its long tail.

The crash of a fragment of a Chinese space rocket was filmed in Kuching, Malaysia.

The Chinese side also said that the rocket debris re-entered the atmosphere from above the Sulu Sea in the southwest of the Philippines, most of which were burned down and some fell into the sea.

The upper part of the ‘Changjeong 5B’ launched last week, weighing only 25 tons.

This is because China is launching the largest rocket to load the modules of the space station ‘Tiangong’ under construction.

Even following passing through the atmosphere, the remaining debris fell to Earth three times, and in May 2020, it even struck a village in Ivory Coast, Africa.

Space rocket wreckage should be designed to fall to a safe place, but China is allowing it to float in the atmosphere and fall.

The movement trajectory of the rocket debris is also not transparently disclosed, which is causing tensions around the world every time.

[왕원빈 / 중국 외교부 대변인 (지난해 5월) : 대기권 재진입 과정에서 대부분 소실돼서 항공 활동이나 지상에 해를 끼칠 확률이 매우 낮습니다.]

China plans to launch another additional module in October to complete its own space station.

As Russia announces its withdrawal from the International Space Station (ISS), China is virtually the only country in the world with a space station.

Compared to the grand ambition of ‘running into space’, the responsibility is disappointing.
