As autumn approaches, Angeli decides to continue filming a new series Women who have been with the brand for many yearsThese women are customers, but they are also independent, local business owners, and the women of Angeli can understand the challenges that the past year has thrown at them, or to quote Jili Ravid: “These women remind us of what moves us forward.”

When I heard that this rolling project would also be taking place at Yūgen Bakery’s photography day, I immediately asked permission to join in and take some photos behind the scenes.
It’s a selfish request, because spending two hours in and around the bakery is a concentrated medicine for the soul.
But wait, before I explain what Yūgen is (hint: it’s a Japanese word), there’s one more hypothesis. After all, the blog is also a female, local and independent business:

Their practices and worldview make this place a refuge that is difficult to place in time and space. Could it be that something magical like this happened during the war just a two-minute drive from the Sharonim shopping center in Hodhashalon? Impossible, but it’s true.
